The Offor Method & Talent Network

Before the burnout, there’s usually a whisper

Hi Reader,

We’re nearly halfway through the year.

By now, the honeymoon’s over.
You’ve seen what the role really asks of you.
And you’ve felt what it’s starting to take.

So let’s ask the real question:
Is this still your seat?

Too many leaders stay quiet in this moment.
They tell themselves:
“Every job has tradeoffs.”
“Things will settle down.”
“It’s not that bad.”

But here’s what I’ve seen:
Misalignment doesn’t just drain your energy.
It distorts your confidence.
And it makes the next move harder to see—until you’re too deep to climb out clean.

This isn’t about jumping ship.
It’s about being honest with yourself before a crisis forces the question.

Ask yourself:
📌 Is the scope of my work aligned with my strengths?
📌 Is the growth I’m experiencing meaningful—or just more weight?
📌 Do I feel trusted? Respected? Seen?
📌 Is this building toward something I want—or just keeping me busy?

If the answers are murky, don’t panic. But don’t ignore the feeling.
Your gut isn’t the enemy—it’s the early warning system.

You’re allowed to recalibrate.
To want something different.
To ask: What now? What next?

And you don’t have to figure it out alone.

With you,
Ify
